Sorrow collab with wingsofic by ~bowen13:iconbowen13:

                 Sorrow

My head is bowed in grief
As I crouch here in the dark;
The cloak of blood that covers me
Cannot warm my frozen heart.
My love long lost still haunts me,
Still calls me from the grave,
She calls for me to keep the promise
That I once had made.
I promised to protect her,
To keep her from all pain,
But my promise was cruelly broken
When my love was cruelly slain.
My enemies, the cowardly beasts,
Unable to best me outright
Destroyed my heart when they killed my beloved
On that dark and cursed night.
I could not stop them, they numbered to great,
And what a blow was dealt to me
When upon entry to my chambers
Her lifeless body I did see.
Now each night I hear her,
And I travel to her tomb,
To look upon her ghostly form and
Weep for all her wounds
That I failed to keep her from
Despite my many vows.
I weep in the freezing snow
And when rain falls from the clouds,
But when the sun arises
I carry home my sorrow,
And steel it away within myself
'Till the ending of the morrow.

A collab with the talented :iconwingsofic: Whole thing here- [link] We are doing another one too. Btw, this is the second form of this poem cause the first one didn't fit the story.
Original-
My head is bowed in grief
As I crouch here in the dark;
The cloak of blood that covers me
Cannot warm my frozen heart.
My love long lost still haunts me,
Still calls me from the grave,
She calls for me to keep the promise
That I once had made.
I promised to protect her,
To keep her from all pain,
But my promise was cruelly broken
When my love was cruelly slain.
A spurned lover turned against her,
Mad with rage and mad with lust.
He did unspeakable things to her
As I sat downstairs and fussed
Over the speed of the workmen,
But what a blow was dealt to me
When upon entry to my chambers
The two of them I did see.
Now each night I hear her,
And I travel to her tomb,
To look upon her ghostly form and
Weep for all her wounds
That I failed to keep her from
Despite my many vows.
I weep in the freezing snow
And when rain falls from the clouds,
But when the sun arises
I carry home my sorrow,
And steel it away within myself
'Till the ending of the morrow.
